MONOPOLY Junior #GameNight

I am so excited to have found out that I have been chosen by Influenster to participate in the #GameNight by Hasbro. Still waiting on my package to arrive, but you can follow all my progress on this great #VoxBox.

You can follow Hasbro on twitter by clicking here or on Facebook by clicking here.

I got my #InfluensterVox in the mail today. Kids were very excited, they couldn't wait to open it. To see the unboxing of the game, you can see it here on youtube.

On the box it states it is for Ages 5+ and 2-4 Players. The kids immediately wanted to play it. It couldn't come on a more perfect day, the kids had a PD Day at school and were at home starting to get bored .

The kids definitely approved of this review. They were more than happy to help me get it unboxed, take a few pictures and participate in my unboxing video (link above).

With the box having a small window to show you what pieces you can use to play the game, the immediately called their game piece. My son wanted the cat and my daughter wanted the puppy. Which left me with my the ship, which I ALWAYS choose when I play monopoly. Of course the fourth game piece is the car, what kind of game would monopoly be without the car?

The Game:

When you open the box inside you find your four game pieces, a die, game board, small tokens to mark the properties each player owns, chance cards (one English and one French), and of course, monopoly money. To keep it easy for the small children, you only get $1 bills.

The game pieces are a durable rubber, fairly big and I bet these ones will be taken from the box to play with small action figures, the cat and dog for sure!

With the kids wanting to play right away, we set up the game. All of our game pieces on GO, handed out everyone's money and property tokens.

We played one game and it took about 15-20 minutes, there is also some tips in the instructions for making it a longer and challenging game.

What I did like about the game is that it was very precise in the instructions and easy for a child to understand. The chance cards were straight forward, my six year old read her own cards and was easily able to follow instructions. I think its a great game and the game duration is great for younger kids. The kids had a great time. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone with young children. Great starter into the wonderful world of monopoly, and it is definitely a family favorite.
