MONOPOLY Junior #GameNight

I am so excited to have found out that I have been chosen by Influenster to participate in the #GameNight by Hasbro. Still waiting on my package to arrive, but you can follow all my progress on this great #VoxBox.

You can follow Hasbro on twitter by clicking here or on Facebook by clicking here.

I got my #InfluensterVox in the mail today. Kids were very excited, they couldn't wait to open it. To see the unboxing of the game, you can see it here on youtube.

On the box it states it is for Ages 5+ and 2-4 Players. The kids immediately wanted to play it. It couldn't come on a more perfect day, the kids had a PD Day at school and were at home starting to get bored .

The kids definitely approved of this review. They were more than happy to help me get it unboxed, take a few pictures and participate in my unboxing video (link above).

With the box having a small window to show you what pieces you can use to play the game, the immediately called their game piece. My son wanted the cat and my daughter wanted the puppy. Which left me with my the ship, which I ALWAYS choose when I play monopoly. Of course the fourth game piece is the car, what kind of game would monopoly be without the car?

The Game:

When you open the box inside you find your four game pieces, a die, game board, small tokens to mark the properties each player owns, chance cards (one English and one French), and of course, monopoly money. To keep it easy for the small children, you only get $1 bills.

The game pieces are a durable rubber, fairly big and I bet these ones will be taken from the box to play with small action figures, the cat and dog for sure!

With the kids wanting to play right away, we set up the game. All of our game pieces on GO, handed out everyone's money and property tokens.

We played one game and it took about 15-20 minutes, there is also some tips in the instructions for making it a longer and challenging game.

What I did like about the game is that it was very precise in the instructions and easy for a child to understand. The chance cards were straight forward, my six year old read her own cards and was easily able to follow instructions. I think its a great game and the game duration is great for younger kids. The kids had a great time. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone with young children. Great starter into the wonderful world of monopoly, and it is definitely a family favorite.

Update

So I feel like I have been slacking with all other aspects of my blog. My 'A little bit of everything' refers to coupons, reviews, mail days, and everyday life on top of just product reviews.

So far I have been posting about all my reviews and I feel like I am getting more comfortable with this blogging jazz.

So I think I am going to try a post as much as I can, even if it means just a quick picture like you would see on my facebook or twitter. Kinda of amalgamate all my social media accounts into this one blog so people following here don't need facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc to stay in the loop, well my loop.

You will probably notice a lot of changes to my blog up coming as I get more and more comfortable with the setting, I like to play around and see what I like best and what works the best for me.

So far I don't even know How to see how many followers I have for my blog so for all I know I am here talking to myself..... But hey, it keeps me busy and is something I am finding easy to keep up with so far.

So I hope you enjoy my blog. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave one and I will get back to you.

Thanks!

Sawmill Creek #SimpleSipping

I received my BzzAgent in the mail a few days ago, coincidentally on the day I had to go into town to the store where our local 'wine rack' is located, and was waiting for the weekend for my review but I couldn't wait any longer, it has been such a long week that I have to 'pop that cork' (twist off lol) on Thursday night!

So I got a $25 gift card from BzzAgent to purchase a bottle of red or white wine. I was a little conflicted with which to choose, the white was actually on sale but I ended up choosing the red.

So normally I am not usually a red wine drinker, my husband has been stuck with my whites and my champagnes for many years. So when I was asked to do a review for a sawmill creek wine I choose a red because I knew my husband would enjoy it.

I made a nice lasagna for supper tonight and figured it was a good time to crack open the wine while we sat outside on the first none raining chilly night we had.

It was FANTASTIC! I loved everything about this wine! It had perfect body, it wasn't too dry and it just tasted amazing. Honestly this wine has opened my eyes to red wine, well this one for sure!  It had the kind of sweetness to it that I always look for in my whites and champagne.

I can honestly say that I will be definitely purchasing another bottle of this Merlot! At $16 a bottle for 1.5L I feel this is a great value and will be looking to try the Chardonnay and white Zinfandel in the near future.

What kind of wine did you end up getting? Did you like it? Are you going to be getting yourself another bottle in the future? Leave a comment and let me know.

Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10

Just got my invite to BzzAgents Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10 Campaign, perfect timing for this one as I am running low on my current shampoo and conditioner.

Review below.

Got it in the mail today, September 16. Review to come.

Okay, so I have been sick all week, tonsillitis, was down for a few days and have been saving the products to use for when I was finally feeling great and ready to get back on my feet.

Today I tried them and let me tell you, I am LOVING this trio! The shampoo lathered amazingly, I feel like I used too much not knowing what to expect, but a little definitely goes a long way. The conditioner was nice and creamy, I made sure to rub into my hair, particularly the ends. I towel dried my hair like I normally do. Took two pumps from the beauty balm and ran it through my hair. I then dried my hair with my blow dryer as usual. My hair felt amazing! It looked great, and healthy. Didn't feel like I had any product in my hair either. I will be using this on a regular basis and looking forward to the results to continue!

Feel free to post any questions or comments below. And don't forget to get your $2 off coupon.

#GOSHgoddess GOSH Cosmetics Review

I was excited when I got a tweet from Chickadvisor that meant I would be receiving four great GOSH Cosmetic products to review.

Here's a few pictures of the wonderful products I received. Reviews will be added soon.

GOSH Mineral Powder:  I have very fare skin and I LOVED this powder. It covered completely for me and it felt very light and natural.

GOSH Double Precision Mascara: I have very fine lashes and I found that the small brush was perfect for my bottom lashes. I loved that there were two sizes. It is the perfect color for me.

GOSH Lip Lacquer: I was a little skeptical when I got it in with it being so dark. I was very surprised how much I liked it it. It went on smooth. Didn't feel clumpy, greasy, or sticky. I liked it very much. Would definitely buy the lighter shades of this for everyday use.

GOSH Giant Blush: I was a little afraid at first to use cause the color seemed so bold. When I put it on my cheeks it looked very dark and I was completely prepared to wash that off. I blended it in with my fingers and it actually blended it really smoothly and very soft. I really liked it and would definitely recommend people to not be shy about trying it.

Did you get the GOSH Cosmetics #GOSHGoddess to review? If so, what was your favorite product?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Herbal Essence Naked

BzzAgent Campaign

Herbal Essence Naked

Got accepted into the BzzAgent Herbal Essence Naked campaign. I was pretty excited to get this one as I was already running low on my normal shampoo and conditioner and felt it was a perfect time to try.

The first thing I did when I got it was open the bottle and smelled it. It smelled amazing. I immediately went and had a shower. The whole bathroom smelt great. It left my hair feeling amazing once I dried it.

I have been using it now for about 3 weeks, I wouldn't say I have a lot more volume, but my hair is softer and very manageable.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone just looking to add a nice smelling shampoo and conditioner set.

Have you tried it? Comment below and let me know what you thought of it. Thanks for reading.

I received my first Influenster VoxBox about a week ago. I was surprised I was getting it because the survey had only come out a week prior and I have not received information regarding getting it. To my surprise I checked my mail and it was there. I received my email later that day telling me I was going to get it.

For me, getting my nails done at a salon is a big deal, it isn't something I do regularly but lately with a few weddings and just some fun girls days I found myself getting a mani/pedi about 3 times within 3 months. And working primarily on a computer everyday doesn't really make an expensive set of gel nails worth it.

The 2 colors I received were 130 Control Freak (solid pink) and D100 Dancing Queen (zebra striped).

I love the nail polish case they are in. Quickly checking them out it seems like these nails are a reasonable length and not that long at all. I am looking forward to trying them out.

When I was ready to apply the nails. I found the correct size for each. Layed them out in order I would apply them. I cleansed each nail with the supplied alcohol wipe. I began to apply. I found this process was VERY easy. It took no time at all. This is something you could definitely do as soon as you were done getting dressed and ready just before you were about to leave. Takes maybe 10 minutes once you have the sizes picked and lined up.

Once the nails were on, I was surprised that they were a reasonable length. I am able to type this blog post after only 5 minutes of applying and I had no problem with typing. They seem very sturdy.

All in all, I really like them. The zebra print one seems a little much for me personally, but it is definitely something I would wear to have a fun girls night with family and friends. The solid colors I would definitely recommend for more formal events.

For the priced of $8.99 - $10.99 I would say this is a great deal for anyone who doesn't have the time or budget to hit the salon, or just looking for something for a weekend event in a pinch.

Here is a finished picture of my nails using the Dancing Queen.

Let me know if you have tried these, any pros and cons, or even what your favorite color is. Thanks for reading.
